This was given to me by my dad but I have never used it. I don't fly fish. I am considering selling it to help fund a catfishing trip. Its a Wards Thorobred bamboo 3 pc with an extra tip section it has a small area at the top of the cork that looks like a mouse might have chewed on it.

not a pro or a collector but did look around on the web. Selling on ebay for around $70 dollars. Thats about what the other appraisal I found said as well.

Thanks guys but I will just keep it. I thought if it were worth enough I could use it to make a memory with my son. Maybe someday I might have a grandson who fly fishes.

I think it's a good call to keep it. You can search the world market and never buy one handed down to you by your dad. Memories can be made in any price range, but heritage passed down is a rare thing indeed.

Dad never fly fished a day in his life. He got it in a bunch of stuff at an aubtion a few years back. Had it been something he used and passed on I would not have considered getting rid of it.

Yeah, I hear ya. Still... your kid or grandkid will probably only hear "Your grandpa gave this to me one day...". Magic is more often found in our perceptions than in reality. On the other hand they may stick marshmallows on it and hang it over a fire one campout to come lol.
