I braided these cutoffs using a basketweave pattern for hanging from a mantle. I used 10 strands of colored rawhide about 6 feet long. Then I used some escutchens and some other beads to add some bling. You can make them more plain for rattling horns. Antlers with no browtines make the best ones for braiding.

Just finished my first Euro.

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness,
nor the arrow for its swiftness,
nor the warrior for his glory.
I love only that which they defend.

I'm working with a buddy of mine on doing something like the picture on this site and putting a area for the antlers to be mounted on....also just burning the images for kids first deer.

These are all sheds but they look purty cool neatly stacked on the mantle.

I can't remember exactly where I got this idea, but I saw a picture of shed antlers displayed on a replicated section of barbed wire fence and thought I would give it a try. I still haven't finished it, but you can get the idea what it looks like from this "work in progress" picture.

I am looking for the right pieces of wood for Fenceposts. If I can I'd like to find an actual old fencepost and cut it laterally in half to make 2 each mounting flush against the wall.
