Dont know what is going on. Ive got a Mathews Switchback XT that i bought in 2006. Ive been shooting this thing with one pin out to 30 yds for the last two yrs. Well put a new sight on it and took it out to tune it in and got the pin set at 20 yds but when i dropped back to 30 it was 6 inches low. Never seen a bow drop off that bad before. Worked for the last two years so i dont know what on earth is going on. Took it to the shop and the guy said he had never heard of it. Theyre gonna put a new string on it and check to make sure everything is in spec. Hope they can get it lined out.

Was it shooting good this season before you put the sight on , and the only change you made was a new sight? Sounds like a typical drop off between 20 and 30 yards . Your other sight was probably sighted in for closer to 25 yards , not 20 . ;\)
Now if this is the first time you have shot the bow this season , your string could have stretched , moving your nocking location . If it moved up , this will make your arrows fly nock high and impact lower on the target .
Try walkback or paper tuning to get your bow tuned according to the arrow flight , then sight it in .
It's hard to diagnose a problem without looking at a setup .

I belive it is either string stretch or the other site was not really sighted in for 30 yards anyway I hope you get it back in tune cause season is around the corner !!!! good Luck to you !!!!

Just guessing, it kind of sounds like the new sight is the difference.

Don't rule out being out of practice. It is always good to shoot a few weeks to get you muscles back in shape and get your form down before trying to make tuning changes.

I know its not the sight. The bow was dead on from 10 to 30 yds and only dropped about an inch or two at 40 yds the past two years so the new sight wouldnt affect the performance of the bow. The only two things i could come up with is either the string got enough stretch in it this year to slow it down or the limbs are bad.
