bowtech has always had limb problems just not enough to cause a recall. I personally have shot bowtech for about 4 years. Ihave never had any trouble and I have 3 of them. Awsome company with a solid product.

After hunting with an old hoyt fastflight for the past 16 years, I decided that it was time for a change. I went to Gander Mountain in Knoxville intent on buying a Primos/Bear "The Truth." I thought that my mind was solid set, but when I had the associate Jim Orlowske "Griz" set the Truth bow up for me to shoot, he said "I want you to atleast try out this Bowtech Tech Hunter Elite." Long story short, I am now practicing with my New BowTech Tech Hunter Elite. The difference in speed and quietness just blew me away. I only ended up paying $100.00 more for the Bowtech. I feel that I got a great deal with all the accessories (sights, quiver, whisker biscuit, etc...) I got all of this for just over $800.00, where as if I had paid for the name (like Matthews) that wouldn't have even gotten me a naked bow!!!!!
Thanks Bowtech along with Griz @ Gander Mountain

Not so sure there my friend. Appears that Mathews sold just over 70,000 bows last year and if I am not mistaken Bowtech sold 138,000. Catch you?? Man you were caught and passed way back there. Id say catch us but as soon as Bowtech decides to start paying your pros there will be nothing left of Mathews. How about you catch us if you know which way we went!!

As would I....Mathews is a private company and does not release sale numbers or total sales. Sorry....
I praise Bowtech for doing the righ thing in this case. I hope for the Bowtech fans this isn't what they can expect from Bowtech since the Savage Arms buyout..

The only thing mathews has changed in the last 3 years is "slim limbs"
Bowtech introduced binary cam system and the split riser system in the last 3 years.
Say what you will about either company but I don't think bowtech is folowing mathews or anyone else for that matter.

Don't get me wrong here. I like Mathews!! They have a great bow. One of the best in my opinion. I would never want Mathews to go out of buisness or anything and I am sure I don't have to worry about that happeneing. I just lke to set the record straight when I get this Catch us if you can crap. Bowtech does not play chase. I respect all the companys out there and am glad we have such a large selection and wish well to all of them. This brings us New innovation and keeps the companies striving for a better product. Gotta love the Archery world!!

Many bow companies have their ups and downs . I think Bowtech makes a nice bow , even though I shoot Mathews as well as a few other brands . I haven't heard of many bow recalls in recent years . Although they can resolve their quality issues with a recall and it's good they are taking care for their customers , the recall can have a major impact on consumer confidence in the bow brand . I just hope their quality didn't suffer when they changed ownership , and they continue to have problems .

Well i'm a Bowtech owner and I respect Bowtech even more now for recalling a bow. That's huge especailly on a less than 1% failure rate! Matthews slim limbs last year were breaking on people left and right I know for a fact I saw 4 different threads on here on broken limbs from Matthews. IMO Bowtech leaves Matthews behind all day long. If you look at head to head comparsions Matthews is no where around Bowtech! Last year the Guardian which I own an 07Guardian won all the bow face offs.

"I like Mathews and Boo would move from Bowtech to Mathews in a New York minute if they offered the same sponsorship to Boo. Any kickbacks to Daddy are a plus. I'm making a 'catch us if you can' joke b/c that's what's expected of Botwtech's man, but I'm not going to really slam Mathews b/c I'm always open to a deal. I like all companys (sic) and am willing to have her shoot anything if it's better for me...I mean her." How'd I do on that big guy

The only thing mathews has changed in the last 3 years is "slim limbs"
Bowtech introduced binary cam system and the split riser system in the last 3 years.
Say what you will about either company but I don't think bowtech is folowing mathews or anyone else for that matter. See that's where you are wrong..Bowtech didn't invent that riser design.. They did improve it, but i would hope so..HaHa.. That was done WAY back in 1989.. TSS Quadraflex and if you check Darton Archery came up with the Binary cam system.
Well for one the quadraflex is nothing close to bowtech's split riser. I understand that there is an added fulcrum at the limb, but I just don't really see the resemblance. And the only info I could find stating that darton came up with binary cam was on wiki. Anybody can put info on wiki so consider the source. Regardles of whether bowtech improvised on other designs or not, at least they are trying new things and making themselve better and more diverse as a company. My main argument is I haven't seen mathews make any significant changes except for the slim limbs in quite awhile. IMO
