Funny thing was, we never thought of it as work. Hauling those heavy aluminum jon boats up sheer banks was just what you did. When I got that polyurethane boat, I thought I was in heaven. One trip we had three aluminun jon boats 16, 14 and 12 feet long. We had six kids and three adults for an overnight. Put in at the dam, took out in Carthage.
What a blast. I don't think I slept a wink. Did it all with two trucks and a lot of muscle. Big campfire, lots of hotdogs etc. and caught a blue backed ton of fish. If I remember right, I charged $150 total and was happy with that.

Wonder if I'll be telling those stories someday. On tndeer, they'll be going, "What is a Riverhawk?"
