Went wiper fishin 2day and did'nt catch $#!@ except for this bow and lost 20$ worth of lures though! Let me tell you about this bow....I was anchored on the river waiting for the water to rise,right above a tree stump fishin for wipers, and all the sudden this bow came swimmin and dancin rollin around the stump. I was gettin very irritated to see this fish mockin me in the corner of my eye so....
I threw every thing at it but did not bite (very bashfull),So I threw in my secret Corn Fly... When that sucker saw the high def. color on that corn fly on the first cast..BAMMM sucker hit it immediately and it gave me a hell of a fight on my bream pole! I LOVE HYBRID FISHIN ! Threw the bow overboard after the pic It measured properly at 21". I need to throw out them fly's more often! $\:D$

Heckuvafish, man. So why do I spend countless hours concocting near-perfect imitations of obscure tiny insects when you catch the big dawgs on corn flies? I'll never know! $\:D$

You said you were waiting for the water to rise. Do you not fish for stripers at low water? If not, why not? Don't bite? Just curious.

You deserve to lose all those lures for catching all them big feeshies! $\:D$

Wipers huh shore. Are they called that cause they hit the lure, dive straight down, wrap around a log and break off. That wipes the smile off my face everytime.

I just got carried away fishin for them wipers(like water-skiing with a boat), and was waiting for the water to rise so i can go back up river(stuck), but they will bite at low waters just be stealth.

As for the corn fly, just take a yellow sponge or a moth ball shape it like a corn and you can garnish it with your favorite flavor of scent!

Now, Shore, you know we fly boys are all flash and no substance. It's hard to show people how smart and cool we are by imitiating the corn hatch. There is no such thing as a "scented fly" in fly fishing. That's just "bait" like the rest of the commoners use. Lord, I hope the lurkers realize I'm joking.

Which brings me to the truth. If I really wanted to catch one o dem trouts on a corn fly, I'd just use corn. The added bonus is that when I don't catch any fish, I still have a can of corn to eat. $\:D$
