What do you do when you are on the boarder of 340's or 400's depending on the broadhead (75 or 100 grain) you shoot?
A majority of the recommendations on Easton's site say I should shoot 340's. A couple of archery shops tell me shoot the 400's.
I am up in the air. The 400's are knuckle balling at 35-40 yards. Will the same happen with 340's or will it get better or worse?

If you're a compound-release shooter, it's better to be on the stiff side.

It depends on your draw length and draw weight . It's better to err on the stiff side , unless you can cut the 400's down to stiffen the spine or go with the lighter point . I use 400's cut at 27.5" with 100 grains . Make sure your centershot and string loop/nock point are set correctly and paper tune or group tune with different sizes and point weights to see what arrows fly the best out of your setup .

Okay. So which is stiffer? This is new territory for me.

340's are stiffer than 400's. Spine is measured as deflection in inches, therefore an arrow with a spine of 340 will deflect .340 of an inch, a 400 will deflect more (less stiff) to .400 of an inch.
