Dude, I'm blown away by all your success. I couldn't catch a 4 pound largemouth if it were floating in my bathtub. I already owe you for eating your venison, but I'm making you teach me how to catch a hawg, too.

Looks like I'm going to have to take you up on that offer before the luck turns around!
Then again, I could just be the catalyst to make that happen.....you might want to reconsider!

Nice catch! Do you hit the same spots everytime?
Pretty much. Lake gets a good bit of pressure, so it depends on who's fishing where, at the time I get on the water. I've noticed that we've been fishing the same areas as other guys, but we seem to be fishing deeper and further out on the points than most of the other boats we're seeing. Pretty much have the same 3-4 points, channels and grass flats that I hit everytime I'm there.

Did Don Cox show you those spots? He told me at the ramp that he taught you everything you know about Glenn Springs. I couldnt tell if he was serious or not. Typical fisherman!
You're kidding me, right? This is the same guy that asks me everytime I'm on the water if I fish here much, yet he taught me everything. I play dumb and get the tourny spill and what not from Don, and the fishing report, and what I ahould be throwing, ya-da, ya-da, ya-da........all the while I've got 18-20 lbs for 5 bass at the time already boated when I run into him on the water. Don't get me started on him....I have some stories about that clown. You can be catching 5 lb chunks all day long right next to him on a worm or a fluke, and he'll tell you that you're wasting you're time and need to be throwing a black and blue jig in 30 ft of water. Ask him about the Tn state fire and police games bass tourny held at Glenn Springs last year when I was the only guy to weigh in a limit and smoked his tail! And no...he didn't show me jack. To him, if you aren't throwing a black/blue jig in 30 ft of water, you're wasting you're time. I catch most of my fish in 2-4 ft of water on that lake and doing it right next to Don while he's fishing 30 ft of water in a channel next to the grass flat I'm fishing and had himcome over after the 5th or 6th fish I've caught and ask what I'm throwing and how I rigged it. Man, he gets me going.....Lol!
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On black and blue jig
See what, I mean? This is coming from my fishing buddy who knows the lake better than me and Don put together, huh Clint?

Actually, what DC said about tournaments, is that they stopped having them on GS because he was winning every one. No lie. I bet that dosent surprise you though.

No, not really. Don't get me wrong, Don is a heckuva fisherman. Just conceited and cocky as he!!, and if you aren't doing it his way, you're wasting your time whether you're catching fish or not. Don asked me every week last summer to be his partner in Po-Boy tournys and I never called him. Gave me the spill of how I should fish tournys and all and come fish with him, but like I said, I could be in the back of his boat catching 3-5 lber's on a crankbait and him not catching a thing and he'd tell me I need to stop throwing that and put on a black/blue jig. I would take cdtac1 from here on the board, and fish against Don and a partner of his choice, any day of the week on GS. I don't know....Don just seems to rub alot of people the wrong way. Just bring his name up to anyone who fishes GS regularly and you'll see. He's probably an ok guy, just set in his ways.
By the way...Hard to hold big tourneys on a lake that's only 310 acres. Heck you get 20-30 boatsin the tourny, plus rec. fisherman, and you're all over top of each other.

My favorite line from Don one time was when he said He has probably caught every single Bass in GS at least once. I was releasing a fish at the time when he claims he had released it before and was sure he has caught all of them. LOL I stay away from him because he smokes too much and caughs alot. All in all he is a good guy, just one of those good fish story tellers. Fishing is absolutely ALL the man does, he doesnt even cut grass at home.

HAHAHA Don Cox has caught every fish, that's too funny that guy needs to get off his high horse. Me and ole Mossyhorns have shown him how to do it once or twice I know.

Lol! Yeah we have. Everytime me and 3rdTripper have been out, one of us has had a fish on as Don is "idling" by. Pretty funny.
Don: What'd that fish weigh?
My boat: 3 lbs.
Don: What'd you catch it on?
My boat: Fluke
Don: If you'd been throwin a black/blue jig, you'd caught a 6 lber. instead. You're wastin your time here. I fished it pretty hard and didn't catch much. I know if I couldn't catch em, then they just aren't biting today. I've probably caught most of the fish in this lake and know what they do most of the time.
That was an actual converstaion had between Don, myself, and my partner in the boat last year.
