Look what was swimming with me!!!!

These were caught by guys waist deep and casting spinning rods about 20yds out with shrimp!!!Needless to say my wife and I didn't get our ankles wet for the duration of vacation! We were right beside them when they were caugt them....they caught 5 in about 45 minutes!!!

It's not hard at all to catch a shark from the surf. Those look like baby blacktips. Good eating.

Used to catch them all the time in waist-deep water in the shark nursery areas near Hilton Head. They won't hurt a thing, but it was pretty stupid of us to keep the shrimp in our bathing suit pockets while catching sharks at our feet.

Ever seen the pools of water left behind on beaches when the tide goes out? We used to put all the baby black tips in the pool and watch them swim around and freak the tourists out as they walked the beach. There was this one pelican that figured it out and would come over and chow down on the easy shark meals. They were only about a foot long.

Nothing to be afraid of unless you are a shrimp or another small baitfish. The beaches are loaded with sharks now, and even with high numbers of them you only hear of one or two attacks each year. Nothing to be afraid of.
