David I'll know more next week. I have read that the CAM that holds the 209's flips up about 1/4" and that the wrong mounts can make it diffcult to load the 209's.??

I love my Genesis! I have had it since last season and really enjoy shooting it. I took a doe at 25yrds and a large coyote at 105yrds last season.

I also bought mine from Cabelas. The only complaint I have is not the gun or the scope but rather the "Pine Ridge" scope mount is not of the greatest quality. The threads seem to be weak...

But as far as the rifle and scope I have no complaints and really love the genesis...fast reloads for second shot!

Thanks man for any info/experience you can provide. I got so wrapped up in my scope not clearing the iron sights when i tried to mount it, that I never even bothered to check to ensure I would have clearance to load the primer. Glad you mentioned it. It will be week or two before i get back to messing with mine. Let me know how yours turns out. I really didn't want to remove the iron sights on mine unless i absolutely have to.

You should not have to remove the iron sights as long as you get a mount that is high enough. The mounts that came with mine from Cabelas were see through where you can use the scope or iron sights...they are high enough and leave plenty of room for the primer cam. But if you use them be carefull not to over tighten the screws or you will strip them out.

I used the peep sites like stalker mentioned. I really like the Glow sites that came on the gun. I will site in both the scope and the glow sites. I like having the glow sites for low light, heavy rain, and close in under 25 yards. .
