Hey Big... for field tips... I REALLY like the Morrel Yellow Jacket. I think I paid 29 for it a couple years ago... great durable target, easy easy removal.
I have not tried the one they have for blades.. but all the foam ones naturally only last so long.

A feed bag with cotten rags stuffed in it is one way. If you want bigger & stationary go with a 4ft x 4ft x 15inch box. Chicken wire in front and back. Cardboard over wire in front for painting dots. You may build a roof over it as well to keep it dry. Had mine for 15 years no problem.

Ill tell ya somethin that makes a great target/backstop too. Go to your local carpet store and pick up some of theyre odds and ends scraps of carpet. They only have to be about 18 inches wide and as long as you want.Get a 2X6 and lay on the ground then stack a bunch of these scraps on top of the 2x6. Pile them as high as you want your target to be. When its high enough, lay another 2x6 on top.Use a big rachet strap to squeeze all the layers together as tight as you can get it. A nice homemade BLOCK target for almost nothing!!

on the carpet scrap theme I got some scrap padding and cut the pieces 18" wide by however long they were And just hand rolled them up as tight as i could get it Tied it off with bailing twine and will stop a muzzie witout a pass thru And pulls out with very little force My current tatget is about 3 years old and just stays outside Pat

I have used the rag targets and the stretch wrap targets, but not the carpet. I too now shoot a yellow jacket target.
The one drawback to the rags, wrap, and only assuming the carpet, is that they are not good for broadhead shooting.

You can actually take card board stacked flat and use two by fours drilled to accept long thread alls to clamp by screwing large nuts down. Afriend and i did this over 20 years ago and actually is the forerunner of the clamped sheets of styro. the cardboard does the same thing. if you can get the cardboad from the same kind of boxes it makes it even better. It takes quiet a few but i worked for a large retail store at the time and it was not an issue to do it. I used this exclusively until i bought my first Block!
