Just bought 24lbs of Bullseye, so many opportunities. Any body got any proven loads for a Springfield 1911 in 45acp? I have (1000) 230gr RN bullets on the way.

I`m gonna do the same thing soon.

I want a case of 5000 small rifle primers, and a jug or 2 of powder.

I shopped around and got 2 of the 8 lbs jugs of Bullseye for $99.00 each at Benton shooters, they had an 1/8" of dust on them. I have loaded some lead 230gr RN plinkers with 4.0 grains and they are good for range practice, The XTP's will be a little hotter, self-defense loads. I was figuring on 45k-50k depending on the loads, buying the bullets is the expensive part. I opted for reloading supplies instead of another rifle, the next chore is 223 non-crimped brass and more bullets.

50 x $122.00 (1000)= $6100

230gr Ball (1000) = $122.00 shipped and going up!!!

I have about 4000 wsr primers stored, but I could use a few more.I found 800 wsr at a local gun shop for 1.90 per 100 the other day, I bet the next ones will be $28-$30 per 1000. Like a fool I sold an 8 lb jug of H4895 to friend last year for $40.00, what I had in it (estate auction).
