Are these guns (with the right load) capable of tight grouping at 250 yards? I am leaning toward the stainless savage with accu trigger in 50cal but would like to hear from the tc omega owners and what kind of groups they consistently get. Thanks

Don't have an Omega, but if I would set my scope for 250 yards on my 45 Encore, yes I think it would shoot consistant tight groups. If something happened to my Encore, I would probably buy the Savage when comparing the cost between TC and Savage.

I have been reading statements from the omega owners and am impressed with the tight groups they are getting....makes me want one of those or the new triumphs......really bad, with the nikon omega scope of course....

Camoman,
There just happens to be a stainless Omega with a Nikon Omega scope in the classifieds right now. Check it out.

I've seen some pretty decent groups shot at 200 yards with an Omega. Now, if I was wanting to attempt 200+ yard shots with a muzzleloader, I'd get a Savage smokeless over an Omega.
