Boy, I got my new Ruger LCP today. Dont ask how I got it before the release, I honestly dont even know. That little gun is the real deal. I have owned a P3AT and my dad has owned both generations of the P3AT and both of us agree that this is way better in all categories. He already wants to sell both kel tecs and order the LCP.

IMO, it is the pocket gun to have. I was skeptical at first and was gonna get a 2nd gen kel tec, but when the gun store owner said he was getting one LCP in, I paid cash in advance.

Its more accurate than kel tec, less recoil, no jams or malfunctions yet, sweeter trigger, better grip, and this thing eject a cartridge 20ft high and about 15ft far. Defiantly beating kel tec in the ejection.

If you carry a kel-tec, I would strongly suggest switching!

I've never been a big fan of Kel-Tec but I will seriously look at the Ruger. That's a cool looking little piece.

I dont think anyone else around has got them in yet. The website says they're still on pre-order. I heard 76,000 have already been ordered.

I have a .38 I use as a pocket gun but there's nothing wrong with a little versatility. I'm going to look into those.

I've always wanted a .380 too. You know...James Bond style.

I'm going to wait a while though. Brand new items bring high prices even with a low MSRP like that. I'll let the new wear off for a few months then check it out.

Bersa's smallest "concealed carry" .380

L 6"
H 4.54"
W 1.05"
weight 17 oz

Ruger LCP

L 5.17"
H 3.61"
W 0.79"
weight 9.4 oz

KelTec P-3AT

L 5.14"
H 3.57"
W 0.79"
weight 7.2oz

I'm a Ruger fan and I already own 5 Rugers but I don't see any reason to get rid of my KelTec for one of these. My P-3AT has never had any problems or malfunctions of any kind. However, if I didn't already own my KelTec, I'd probably get the Ruger just for the name.

That is what my dad said until he held my Ruger. If you ever get to hold one, you will sell the Kel-tec, and buy the LCP.

Looks like Ruger might have finally laid into something good. All these years the MkII rimfire target pistol and 10/22 have been carrying the company. A lightweight concealable centerfire pistol may just pull them out! I sure hope so, as I love my Rugers \:\)

I was at the Kel-Tec factory today. My dad took 2 of his P3ATs to be repaired and he asked them about the Ruger. They seemed kind of surprised that they finally had some competition and the competition is the better. I am just glad he didnt embarrass me by telling me to pull out my LCP and show it to them. Even though they repaired both guns in about 20 mins, replacing the ejector in the 1st gen and putting a new barrel and slide on the 2nd, I still would put my money on the LCP. I have shot about 25 rounds through my LCP and I told dad lets see whose gun will jam first.

Oh well, Kel-Tec still makes some other cool firearms. I thought it was funny that it was all women in there making the guns! I will not joke about their quality being related to my last comment!
