picked this up the other day at dicks on sale for 299 with cheapy simmons 3x9, only had the chance to shoot it a couple of times , notice hornady bal tip wont penetrate a 2x4 at 30 yds , what could I expect from the 20 gr xtp enough for yote,, been workin so much , hadnt had a chance to check it out, have some win bal tips, and some cci hpoints, any advice or exp would help,, oh mine has the blue heavy not the ssb..

You should notice quite abit better penetration with the 20gr. xtp's....let us know

they will likely penetrate better at a longer distance, they bullet won't fragment as bad.

I take that back hornady btips and cci hpoints penetrate, good, and they pentrate both sides of a 55 gal steel drum at 20 yds. I had two 2x4 and didnt look low enough to see the bottom where they were coming out , it was getting dark quick and I was in a hurry, "feel like a goof"...
