I've got the .300 wsm in a ruger m77...a lot of bang for your buck imo...was shooting 1 inch groups at 100 yards...I believe my uncle picked it up at a gun show for around $400

Remington 700 in any caliber offered, but I don't think Remington offers any of the Winchester Short Magnum chamberings. With that in mind I'd go with a Browning A-bolt in any configuration. I wouldn't want an off the wall caliber right now though. With the prices of raw materials sky-rocketing the price of a 20 round box of ammo this time next year for the 300WSM will be more than $60.

Remington does offer the WSM chamberings. I have a Remington LSS in 300 WSM.

I wish you would have posted that 2 weeks ago, I bought a Weatherby Vanguard 7mm rem mag. I was looking for at a Remington 300WSM used and it was more than I was able to spend at tha time.
I live in Fulton KY. the Weatherbys are nice rifles.

WOW! Ive gotten exit wounds from the 300wsm that are bigger than that but no entrys even close to that!
