I'm clueless when it comes to chokes. Can anyone reccomend an article or website on the topic?
I see turkey chokes from .655 to .695. What is considered modified, full, xtra full and xxfull ?

There are several bore sizes to be considered, as they are certainly not the same. Europeans usually run .725", American .729", then Browning back bored runs .745, and the Mossbegs 835/935 have a full 10 ga bore. I like .075" constriction out of my Remington 870 with #6`s. I like a .660"/.665" with #5`s, and a .670" with #4`s or Hevi shot.

A gunsmith should be able to measure your bore size. Once you know that subtract your choke constrictions from your bore size and that will tell you what choke you have.

.000=cylinder
.005=skeet
.010=Imp.cylinder
.015=Lt. Mod
.020=Mod
.025=Imp. Mod
.030 on up are the varying degrees of full to xxx full chokes.
