Great hunt looks like!|
I remember my first rabbit hunt. My uncle and my grandpa and my cousin took me. We got permission to hunt an overgrown junkyard. The rabbits were raising young under all the broken down pieces of vehicles. We had four dogs and I was shooting a single barrel 20 gauge. I was 12 and I ended up shooting two rabbits. That wasn't bad for my first hunt. I remember being worried about shooting one of the beagles and I let most of the rabbits get past me because of that. Out of 27 rabbits I got two!
I went to take a leak and of course a rabbit ran right past me while I was going for my shootin iron. My grandpa saw it and he never let me live that one down. He laughed about that all day.
That's one of my best memories of hunting with family and it was a real blast. I haven't been in probably 5 or years now.
In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing. The worst thing you can do is nothing.
