I have shot the WB for going on 4yrs and like Steven said, I don't see myself changing anytime soon. CZ, I shot fingers every since I started bow hunting 14yrs ago and when I got my last bow gave a release a try. I don't care how good you think you are with your fingers, you can shoot much better with a release. Give it a try.

Jason, I may give it a try. I'll be getting my son a bow this summer and he's going to shoot one. Guess I'm just kind of old school....

I was old school too, but I noticed much better arrow flight, and just over all better consistency. I will say one thing, don't waste your time and money on a cheap one, bite the bullet and spend the money on a good quality one and be done. Also, no cussing me the first time you leave it in your truck and get in your tree stand Glad to hear your getting your boy a bow, sounds like you will have a shooting buddy.
Jason, Actually he's 18 now and has been my hunting buddy since he was 4. He's went (not his own choosing) to NY with my ex for a year and a half after we divorced and couldn't stand it, moved back down here with me and the new bride 2 1/2 years ago, got into football so didn't want to bow hunt due to that schedule conflict. He's going to college (full academic ride!) here in Memphis, will live at home with us so I get 4 more years with him. Now that his fall season will be available to hunt, it's time to get him the bow. He took his first buck at 10, has taken at least 15 others, and is a real good woodsman, very ethical and quite often we hunt together just to enjoy the quality time. He's a great kid and I'm very proud of him. He's now taking other kids hunting with hi when we can't go together, in fact, he called in a gobbler for a friend of his this year to get his buddy his first bird. Nice to see what you passed on being passed on!
He's looking real hard at the Black Diamond or the PSE X Force. Should make a final decision real soon, so I'll probably go to the release when he gets his bow.
Thanks again for the advice.

Sounds like a great kid, and sounds like he has a pretty good dad too. I hope you guys have some great times and I'm pretty sure you will. If a PSE is a possibilty, he may want to check out the AR'S(Archery Research) bows. I went from a PSE to an AR and like it alot.

Good Idea- thanks. I think one of the guys where we were looking mentioned AR but they didn't have one in a lefty for him to try. Will definitely put it on the list.
