and bought a Savage 22 magnum, bolt action 5 shot clip. Put a 3-9 Nikon scope on it. Took it and lined it up and put some skeet on some trees at a paced 125 yds. and broke them all with it. It is super light weight and has a composite stock and everything else is stainless. I would highly recomend it for accuracy. From reading on here it should do well on the coyotes. I got it because I can't carry a centerfire on a wildlife area. Thought I would share in case someone is looking for one.

No, it's not camo. Black composite with stainless barrel. Man it's light.

I have been meaning to get a 22 mag or a 17 HMR, but hadn't got around to it yet. Congrats.

With the polymer tip bullets being offered in the 22 mag, I am thinking that is the way to go on WMAs that do not allow centerfire for coyote hunting. The 17 grain bullets from the 17 HMR are too light for my liking.

If it's the model 93, I've got the same set-up. You'll be very happy with it!

I bought a 17hmr when I first started to predator hunt and shot a couple of foxes with it, they all ran a good ways, with good standing broadside shots. I wish I had gone with the 22mag, the 17hmr its a heck of a squirrel and crow gun and don't forget groundhogs.

Anybody want to trade a 22mag for a 17hmr? It's a Savage with the Accu-trigger used but not abused.
