I was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting a decent deal on a new gun at the gun show in Nashville. I was thinking about going and checking out what was there.

I've had some real good luck lately. Really it depends on what you'll be looking for. If the weapon you are looking for is more common like a Remington 700 or an AR-15 then better deals are had on Sunday with cash in hand. If you're wanting something specific and not so common then its good to go on Saturday morning with cash. Be prepared to pay top dollar this months and next months gun shows as a lot of folks have filed taxes and are spending their returns and the dealers know they will get asking price from somebody. Better deals are in the spring/early summer months from my experience.

Its hard to tell, Nashville and Knoxville are usually good, Chattanooga you never know and Dalton is usually pretty good. I'm a sucker for gunshows I just like being around my kind of people and seeing the guns and occasionally sneeking one home. \:\)

Last one I went to was more junk than guns and no I don't mean junk guns ,I just mean junk. Trinkets, wristbands, buckles, stickers, etc. I'd say 35 to 40% guns and the rest tables of junk.

I don't go to shows in Chattanooga anymore. I went to several over the years and never saw a decent show. Too many flea market items and not enough guns. My wife said I had more guns at home than some of those shows had. Knoxville and Dalton are usually good shows but for some reason Chattanooga can't seem to get it together.
