I have a savage 243 and it has a 9 1/4 twist. My ? Is will this shoot bullet in the 65 grn range well. Some have told me that I will have to stay above 85 grn and some said I could go down to a 58 grn. I looked at the Remington’s too and their twist was 9 1/8. I didn't see anything with a slower twist. I'm thinking about doing some reloading.

You can probably shoot them but you'll probably not be able to get quite as much velocity out of them as you could with a slower twist. Higher twist equals more pressure and stress on the bullet jacket.

my old 6mm VLS with a 9 twist would shoot the 70 NBT and IMR-4064 in the same hole at nearly 3600.
