I would much rather put a cree led in a minimag. http://batteryjunction.com/tle-5k2.html Those 123 batteries arent cheap and those types of bulbs suck them dry pretty fast.

I made one last night. They are bright but I have not compared to my Maglight that has the upgraded bulbs in it. Like Tater said those dad gum batteries are expensive, $15 for 2 and you need 3. I just had a masonary 5/8 drill bit so it was a little tougher to trim those ribs down. I wasnt going to pay $12 for a general purpose drill bit. Take a 1/2 dowel rod w/ sandpaper wrapped around or a file to knock those ribs down. No other problems its easy.
