wanting a new gun havent found either yet but still looking found a few 7mm rums tho may go with one of them witch of these would u choose ?

Owned a STW and a RUM, both of which are Rem. 700s.Both of these rifles are shooters,but the RUM is a custom build and will outshoot the STW going away.Neither caliber offers much factory loads.Both shoot Swift Scirocco and Hornady 139 gr. interbond extremley well.

STW. STW brass is about 1/2 the cost of Weatherby mags and you can load an STW close to 200fps hotter than the weatherby per Barnes.

Although Ive always wanted a 7mm Wby Mag, Id take the STW ANYDAY.

You must have had a "dud" STW because there's no way any RUM out there could outshoot the factory STW that I own. It's an absolute tack driver and a lot of fun to shoot.

it may have changed with some of the newer slower powder but 5 years ago I could not come up with a 7 RUM combo that would outrun and outshoot the STW..
