I think i posted this in an earlier forum. My first CVA came from a Target Store in Knoxville. How many old timers remember when they sold guns.

I bought my first CVA muzzleloader at an Osco Drug Store in 1978.
Back then they (at least their Mountain Rifles) were made in the USA.
Back then you could buy TC Hawken rifles at JC Penny and at Sears.

I remember when they both sold firearms. Target when they first opened here had a very good sporting goods dept and even sold reloading items for short while before they went to heck in a hand basket.
BTW My first ML was CVA Kent. Kit from JC Pennys West Town
BTW 2 Do you guys remember Untied General Products??
BTW 3 We don't need to recall just how long ago either of the above were

I remember Service Mchd. and Penney's selling guns. I got a mossberg 500 from Servie Mchd. in knoxville. I bought a couple of the kits CVA's from Target.

i havent hunted with my first ML in quit a few years but i will allways keep it,i put 6-8 coats of oil om it when i built it & the finish still looks really good,mike243
