I do not believe so... The 453 is the set trigger model wherer the 452 is standard trigger.....

I have three a 452 Lux, and two Americans ... 22lr, 17HMR & 22Mag.

The trigger on the 452 is very easy to "fix"... get a Brooks trigger kit for it ( about 15 dollars ) and it has 4 differnt springs and 4 pieces for creep adjustment. Easy to install and the work great...

THe 17HMR & 22lr of mine are easy one hole at 50 yard guns.... the 22 mag is not as accurate but I believe some of this is ammo...

Whittaker guns out of Kentucky is probably the best place to order them online.... I have ordered two from them and have been very impressed with their service and their prices are hard to beat.... THey have also taken the time to send me one with "Lots of Figure" in the wood since I asked them to do it....

Redblood has a 452, and it is 100% adjustable. It is a shooter, too.

Did he install an after market trigger or did his come with an adj trigger? My 452 did have an ajustable weight(very little) but with the sear I had to use the brooks kit to cut down on creep....
The best rimfire made for the money in my opinion!
