I was asking about left hand bolt action rifles a couple of weeks ago and got some good info and suggestions - thanks!
I just happened to look at the Remington website a bit ago and saw that they have a new version of the 700 called XCR (for extreme conditions rifle). Looks like it fits just about exactly what I mentioned I was looking for, except that it is limited in calibers (I was thinking about a 25-06).
Sure would like to get my hands on one in person - it will probably be a bit before the left hand versions are in circulation, though.

I was at Bass Pro during lunch and a guy just happened to be looking at one standing beside me. Nice looking rifle for sure. I overhead the salesman say $899.

Good friend of mine got one last year, it's sweet..He loves it, especially since Rem. decided to chamber in some decent calibers besides the RUMs...He got a 300..... WSM.................................
