I know you specifically asked about centerfires but I have one in rimfire. .17 HMR to be exact. I am in the market for a 22-250 right now and am thinking about putting one on the rifle I buy. The directions for zeroing the scope instruct you to sight it an inch and a half high at 100 yards, and it will be within three inches low at 300 yards (I think). If this is correct then you should be able to use either the .243 or .223 series and be close to dead on seing as how the .22-250 shoots flatter than either. I have been pretty rough on the .17 and it has held zero just fine, I don't know if I would trust one on a heavy recoiling rifle though. Sorry for the hi-jack.
