I can only find the Springfield EMP in 9mm. Should I wait for 40cal, or be content and buy quality ammo for the 9mm? Opinions or experience?

With the quality of hollow points being what they are today, I would go 9 and not worry about it. I keep the Cor Bon 115+p DPX in my Sig 225. I have tested alot of different loads in wet phone books and that load and the Win Ranger SXT 127+p+ are about as good as it gets. I have heard that the Federal HST stuff is good too, but I havent got my hands on any yet. Its also hard to beat the Gold Dot 124+p.

Option....the Springfield EMP and Kimber Ultra CDP ll are very much the same gun and price except the Kimber is a forty-five. I bought an Ultra Carry ll last year and really like it. I still have a week before I have to order one. Thanks for the input.

With the price of ammo I think i would lean towards the 9mm.For the best ammo choices. http://www.ar15.com/content/page.html?id=237
