Ok ya'all give me some input here. Want to build one or the other. I'm gonna use it for Yotes and crows, taget shooting, getting the grandkids use to shooting and perfecting their abilitys maybe letting them take a deer with it.
What about range,I know the 250 has more but is it worth it in the full picture of what I'm looking for. Then theres the ammo factor, yeah I do reload so when it comes time for them to hunt I'll load them up some hotter stuff with better bullets but bench time, the 223 would me more economable.
What do ya'all think?

I'm actually looking at going 223AI. This will get me close to 22-250 speeds without the brass/powder expense. I can also shoot plain old .223 when I don't have any fireformed loads ready to go. If going to build a custom, I figured I'd go all out.

Had both and would choose the 223, it will do most of what the 22-250 will except at longer ranges. My yote rig is a Bushmaster Predator AR15 with a 1 in 8 twist 20" barrel, it loves 70gr-75gr bullets and also shoots 55gr bullets sub moa. With the AR platform you have a ton of option and calibers to choose from, even the 223wssm, 243wssm and the 25wssm by Olympic Arms. It may not be a bolt action, but it will maintain .5-.6 moa all day long which is pretty good for a non-bench gun

I would like to get rid of my .300 since it is a backup and get into a .223 on the bottom end. What is a good starting platform? Sorry for the highjack Tikkabuck.
