if you had to walk or climb 5-6 miles and had one shot at probably your only elk ever which would you take??the 338 is about like carrying a rRem Varmint rifle, the 375 is HEAVY and the 35 is built like a mountian rifle with a Lilja bbl,,they are all super accurate custom rigs,,

35 if they're all good shooters, it's less weight to carry

I guess out of those three choices I would take the 35 Whelen only due to it being the lightest weight. Second choice would be the 338-06

Did someone say 35 Whelen. Guess what I think? What do you expect the range to be? Of course of the three there's not a lot of difference in range. Load up with some good 225 Partitions and don't look back.

That is a no brainer. If they all shoot good, take the lightest one. A 10 lb. gun will get heavy on you in the mountains in a hurry.

out to 300 yards would you rather have the 35 with the big slow bullet as to a 300 Win Mag with a 200 AB at 2900 fps?
the 300 is a Sako Finnlight

I go along with everyoned else, however if you are really thinking about going, take your 300 Ultra Mag.

Most powerful rifle in the world won't do you no good if you're too tuckered out once it gets time to use it.
