I use either a Streamlight clip mate with green leds or a mini maglight converted to leds.

I generally don't use one in the woods, but I carry one at work and have been using a "Coast LED Lenser" you get at Lowes.5 bluish leds and 1 red..Its about the size of a roll of quarters and believe me is really holding up well to daily use....

The Streamlight Propolymer Luxeon lights are good. I have a 4aa size that probably gets more use at home than any other light. I use rechargeable aa batts and it works great. http://www.fox-intl.com/searchresult.asp?id=3034

There are MUCH brighter LED lights if you don't mind spending more $$. The Pelican 7060 is almost too bright but it's in the $100 range. http://www.fox-intl.com/searchresult.asp?id=3692

The Fenix lights are neat designs and small and bright but they're kinda pricey too. http://www.flashlightreviews.com/reviews/fenix_l1dce-l2dce.htm

Battery Junction sells lots of import Cree LED based lights: http://batteryjunction.com/creestore.html I have the Lumapower M1 that they sell and run it on an 18650 rechargeable battery. http://www.flashlightreviews.com/reviews/lumapower_m1.htm

There are literally hundreds of great LED flashights out there these days and new ones popping up all the time. For current info, check out the candlepower forums

I use the Spot headlamp made by Black Diamond. It runs off 3 AAA's and is the brightest little booger I've used, although you it does have different brightness modes. This thing even has a 3 year warranty. It's a little pricey at $60 and I was hesitant on the purchase, but a buddy of mine who is a hardcore backpacker assured me that it was the absolute best in headlamps and I'm very glad that I purchased this thing.

I don't know but there may be a better use for our hunting dollars than a high priced flash light.

I have an Everready headband style LED i got from walmart. It has 2 red led lights, 2 spot lights and 2 flood lights. spent 15.00 and this is used all year for hunting and night fishing. I've actually have had to by several of them because I love them and they don't swim well when knocked off the boat. \:D

Just a note: I use a green streamlight and thought it would not spook game. Well the Turkeys sure don't like it, I scared them of the roost several times during this deer season.

Green and red light work well on deer because of the deer's ability to see a limited color spectrum.

Birds like turkeys see the world a lot differntly than deer. I imagine most light colors will pretty well spook them, but I still use green to keep from spooking deer, which can alarm turkey. Plus it is a lot easier on my eyes.

I use one of them cheap brim mount green leds from walmart for climbing. I usually use a mini maglite converted to led when needed. I ran across 2 surefire flashlights for sale on an offroad forum last week and said what the heck and bought them both for $50+the ride. It was a G2 with and Led and a G3 with a regular bulb. Both included new batteries. They are awesome. The G3 is brighter than my d cell maglite. I am very impressed with these lights.

I just bought the new Coleman l.e.d light they have at WalMart, 115 lumens and it has a built in red and green LED switch. $29 bucks so Im really looking forward to using it in about 3 weeks! That same amount of light in a stream light or g2 nitrolon is much higher. It's aluminum just like the high dollar lights.

It's a very nice light for the price and they also have a headlight that runs on 3 AAA batteries and has a high and low output. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10196615

Both are great deals.

I use a Brinkman LED headlight and for tracking a Garrity LED spotlight, the spotlight is really cool, it will burn forever since it's LED and it's a pistol grip style that really puts out some light(not quite a q-beam but won't run out of juice in the middle of a track on you either). It only cost about $15 at Wally and one of the best bargains I've gotten in a long time.

I've got the Surefire G2. It's the brightest light I have ever owned. You can save on the batteries by buying the bass pro brand of batteries. They are just as good for about half the price of duracells. A friend said home depot sales batteries that will fit it also that are pretty cheap.

I just bought a few of these. It is not quite as bright as my Surefire, but it is bright and it recharges in less time than it takes to drive to my hunting lease.

petzal head lamp and surefire light. if you really want a good light - get a winchester led light at walmart for like 12 bucks. it proved itself for me in iraq more so than the 80 dollar surefire

i dont know about you but i cant keep up with a flashligh to save my life. i was in a hurry opening day of bow season and stopped at walmart to get some thermocell refills and picked up a Garity LED flashlight that looks like the little stream lights for 5 dollars and it stays bright and havent had to replace the batteris either. needless to say i can invest a whole bunch of the for the fraction of losing one good one and yes I have lost several.
