Anyone care to share some recipes for the .243? I really enjoy shooting the one I have and would like to hear some of the loads you reloaders like. Thanks in advance.

Don't recall the exact recipe but did like IMR-4831 with 100gr Partitions in a few 243 I used to play with.IMR-4350 isn't bad with them either.

Dont recall the powder charge but 100gr Hornady Interlock's work real good from a .243 winchester.

Used to use 47 gr of 7828 and 100 grain Hornadys, and now 75 grain Barnes X over 45.5 gr of H414. Either one consistantly drops deer in their tracks.

Been shooting the factory 100 gr. Hornady Interlocks and it does like them real well.

Sierra 85gr HPBT
Win Brass
CCI BR2
37.8gr Varget

Reduce this load by at least 5% and work up to this load.

My daughter's Mohawk (Remington) .243 really likes 100g Nosler Partitions, to the tune of two mule deer and two antelope just this year. A .243 seems very bullet sensitive (I tried several before setling on the Nosler) when it comes to dependable, consistent killing power. It is NOT sensitive concerning accuracy, it's hard for me to pick a bullet for accuracy as they all shoot good. Of course my 45 year old daughter's shooting ability doesn't hurt anything either, one of her deer was shot at a rangefinder measured 296 yards, and she shot a Bull Elk at close to 300 yds with my 30 '06. Thanks Ray

Although at the lower end, I've had good luck with 37.5 gr of IMR4350, CCI 200 primers , and 100 gr Nosler partitions. I like the partitions for deer hunting because I almost always get a pass-through. This load has worked well in several guns and kid's can handle it easily. I can get a little better groups with balistic tips but I prefer the partition on deer in the lighter calibers.
