Hey guys, I need some help/advice from all of you reloading gurus. I have never tried reloading (rifle cartridges) before, but I am interested in learning how. Can u fellas please give me some good advice/information to a young man trying to get started? It needs to be very basic as far as terminology and advice because I know NOTHING about it yet. When learning something for the first time, ask the best!!! Thank you guys!!

Buy some reloading manuals and educate yourself first.

That will work but a Video /CD will do better. RCBS has a good one ,there are others.Might find one at Gander Mtn in there reloading sction.Or you could get both. Good ideal to get one,Manual, form the Bullet company your thinking of using frist. New ones are coming out from Barnes #4 and Nosler #6 would wait till they get out for those.Lymans is good as well however about any of them will have the basics covered.
This way you can see if it is for you without the cost of the equipement.

Study alot and find someone who knows what they are doing if possible and get a lesson or two before reloading.

After you do all the research, come back and ask lots of questions.
You don't want to screw up a rifle load.

Lawdog: Buy some manuals (more than one) and read them, read them again, ask questions, go back and read. Have some one you can trust to bounce questions off of. Understand all of the steps completely and why you are doing them. If you are not a disciplined person, reloading may not be for you. Reloading is something that I never do it when I don't have a plenty of time allotted for the task. That said, it can be a very enjoyable hobby, and you can get a lot of satisfaction from it.
Enjoy,
