tndrbstr, well that is the main reason i drive 4 hours to hickman county to hunt. I'll tell you what though it was so slow out there this year that i have really started to explore my options a little closer to home. let me know if you find any land to lease near by i'd be more than happy to go in on a lease if it's got deer. I am new to the area moved here in 2003 so i wouldn't even know where to start. contact me if anything comes up bobthebowhunter@yahoo.com

im sure that planting the gas-line will be no problem, as they will often plant them themselves, rye grass, wheat, etc. also, i have read that various utility companies offer cost-share incentive programs which will help with the purchase of seed at least
i highly recomend perrenials in order to promote year round deer usage, check into types of clover or alfalfa if anything i believe variety is the spice of life, the more varieties you plant, the less they have to leave (your property) to go get.
