I have a 209 conversion kit I picked up on clearance a couple of years ago after the season closed. Should I change it out on my Knight?

What are the benefits? I've been shooting with standard no 11 percussion caps. Will I notice a difference?

Yes, definately change it. 209 primers give you a more promissing ignition, more weatherproofing, and higher velocities.

Thanks for the advice holstonangler. Since I already have it, that's enough for me to change it out!

Thanks RutMan and cole. I havd a misfire with a #11 on a doe earlier this year and it probably cost me the deer.

I've had a couple while sighting in.

I heartily agree! Changed it on two Wolverines and there is a huge difference.

I don't have experence with the 209's. I am pleased to say I've never had a mis-fire since converting to Musket caps. They are Big making them easy to handle and HOT !!! They sound like a 22 when you fire one off to clean your barrel and nipple .
