Big enough? Probably. You could kill a whitetail with a .22 lr but it is not necessarily the best caliber to choose. In my opinion, a .22 cal centerfire or bigger is a better choice for coyotes. If your worried about pelt damage, just be choosy in your bullet selection. But you know what they say about opinions, there like feet, everone's got 'em and some of them stink!

+1 (Wal-Mart might be one place to check - I bought my Savage .22 mag there last year at a very reasonable price).

204 is enough for yotes. I would look at the CZ 527s...very accurate.

I`ve killed 10 with mine so far and they all went down but it aint like a 75 V-Max from a 25-06,,if its in thick stuff its ruff trackin cause the bullet explodes and there is hardly ever an exit,,stay away from shoulders and its good,,I havent tried the 45 hornady yet either,that bullet could change things..
