This buck is by far the heaviest deer taken on our land EVER. Just another by product of QDM. I also got a trail cam pic of him in August. Killed thanksgiving afternoon by my dad.

He's for sure a 2.5 maybe a 3.5 yr. old. My dad was stoked to say the least.

That's awesome! Definitely a hoss. Tell him congratulations for me. Gotta be encouraging to have good bucks staying put from the summer through hunting season without shifting range.

Yeah, I thought we had lost him. He was killed about 200yds from where the picture was taken.

163lbs field dressed. I didn't have a chance to get the live weight. We had loaned out our scales to some friends. Any ideas on the live weight? Oh and BTW I weighed my cousins deer killed on an adjoining property. I believe he was a solid 3.5 yr old that had survived EHD. (His hooves were really messed up). He weighed in at 122 dressed. I thought that was a pretty good indicator of the stress put on by the disease.

At 163 field-dressed, I would put him around 204 lbs live weight. That's a big buck!
