I'd say so, that size used to be Excals size. No reason they shouldn't work using the required rear nok for your CB.

i called the shop here in town and they said they wasnt the right size to be cut down to be used in a crossbow.

What CB do you have? I remember all of them used 2117's up til carbons started getting used. I reckon they want to sell you some high priced carbons or XX78!Now they allow the 22 series alum.'s and 2117's.

horton explorer TR175 i ran out of arrows and bought 3 for 19 dollars and some change thats why i was wonder about having these cut down.

They will work fine, just have half moon noks put in the rear.

Smoke for a 175# bow shouldnt he be shooting 2219s Thats what I shoot out of my Parkers and my old Barnett,just wondering.

I asked the same type question this summer on another site. I was told that you do not have to use the 1/2 moon nocks, just use the regular inserts you use on the tip end. I tried both and saw absolutely no difference in accuracy. The insert method is cheaper.
