I've got a Tasco scope on my both my muzzleloader and my rifle. I sighted both in a few months ago...taking many shots with each. I had not shot them since.
I missed two does during muzzle loader. I came out and checked my gun and I was shooting about 4 inches to the right. This morning I shot at a spike with my rifle and missed it. I came out and it was shooting about 3 inches to the right also!!
Anyone ever heard of anything like this? The guns lay on their sides in the closet. Are these just cheap scopes or could there be another reason? Thanks

Unfortunately they are just cheap scopes. With a scope, you get what you pay for. You might try Nikon Prostaff scopes.

They are cheap, but I will have to say that I have had them on my rifle, and still have one on my ml, and they have never lost zero. I have never had any problems with them and they have done their job for me, so IMO, they are just as good as any of the others, and yes I have used others that were more expensive and of better quality, but as long as they hold zero and allow enough light in, I would use a cardboard papertowel roll with dental floss crosshairs. Tasco is no longer in business. you still should have hit the deer if it was shooting 3" to the left, unless you were neck/head shooting. I am not doubting that the scope was off, I am just saying that 3" is not that big of a deal on a whitetail, unless it was a pretty good poke.

i think some of the older tasco scopes are better than the newer ones. my grandad had an old tasco 4x32 on my .243 when he gave it to me and that sucker got abused at it always held zero. that thing is prob at LEAST 20 years old though i wouldnt doubt older..but over all, im not a tasco fan..

3 or 4 inches shouldnt equate to a clean miss unless your distances were long. A perfect example of a reason to get a good scope.
