Deer hunting heavy wooded to very thick cover. With a max shot range of 100 yards if you are lucky most only 50 to 75 yards very steep hollows and ridges like Cheatham Wma I told my friend I always used my 30-30 He only owns a 270 wsm So I let him use mine this weekend since I had to work . He wants to Buy a new gun to hunt in this kind of area . Im not sure I told him the right info I didnt think the 270 wsm would shoot well through the heavy cover . what do yall think

that 30-30 would be hard to beat for that situation.............
