Anyone seen the new Browning X-Bolt firsthand or know when it's going to be available?

They are in the new catalog, but probably not to trickle into dealers till after the new year. It is a shame about the A-Bolt, as it was a good seller for them.

What happened to the Abolt? I love mine as far as just as a hunting rifle.

What I am hearing is they are discontinued. The only models left in inventory are the ones with Boss which are the ones that do not sell well.

O well i wont buy anything but a 700 now anyways lol My Abolt has the BOSS and I love it, it is loud though lol Its a Abolt Medallion in 7mmRM with a BOSS and 26inch barrell. Ask DA it will shoot .5 all day long. Be interesting to see how the Xbolt does.

The Boss is about 4" so the barrel is effectively 22". The A-Bolt 7 Rem Mag I handloaded for was undeniably one of the most accurate 7 Mags I ever shot.

I absolutely love my new abolt microhunter 308. It will shoot 1 hole 3 shot groups at 100 yards with federal premium 165 gr sierra gamekings and my browning bar 300 wsm light weight synthetic stalker with the b.o.ss will do the same with factory ammo.
