We created 2 new food plots this summer,both of course have trees piled up around them,thought it be great places for honey suckle,any ideas on how to get it started this spring,and I figure I will need to protect it for a while.

Just dig some up and transplant it. It is very hardy and needs little care.
You can also take cuttings now . Keep them in water for a few weeks till they root. Then put the cuttings in pots of dirt to grow for awhile.Keep em in a warm spot with alittle sunshine you'll have some real nice plants to put in the ground next spring.

Plant them in the brush piles. This will give the honeysuckle a "protected" place to grow, but the deer can eat the excess that grows above and outside of the brush piles.
