if you had $400 to spend on new glass for your deer rifle, which scope would you buy of these listed below?
feel free to elaborate.
Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40
Bushnell 4200 2.5-10x40
Leupold VX I 4-12x40
Leupold VX II 3-9x40
Leupold VX III 2.3-8x36

1. Zeiss 2. VX III 3. Bushnell 4200 4. VX II 5. If a VX I is 400 dollars you are getting ripped!
Dont forget the Nikon Monarch line! I would put it # 3 if it was on your list.

I'd buy the VX-III...
But you can get more bang for your buck than you realize...
Remember Leupy scopes are lifetime guaranteed and the company sticks to it more than any other company out there. That being said, you can get a used, but like new Leupy VX-III 2.5-8x36 for around $300-330. I paid $300 for the one I bought this past summer.
For $400, you can easily get a VX-III 3.5-10x40 in new or like new condition. That's probably where I'd lean towards.
