I swear, one thing after another.

I posted a week or so ago about my Browning Abolt. Well, it was the clip, my spare works fine.

I go to Eagle Creek and shoot a deer on Saturday with my Abolt. After picking up camp, I then head to our farm on Sunday to meet my dad to work on stands. While he is shooting his Abolt .270 I decide that since I haven't shot at 100 yards this year I would throw it up. I shoot, 1.5" high, PERFECT.

I get home, unload truck and eat supper. That night, I go to garage to clean both rifles. (I take two everywhere) I get Abolt out and THE FREAKIN STOCK IS BUSTED ON THE FOREARM!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I don't mean small crack either. My factory walnut stock has a small crack in it (very small and probably not hurting anything) but I have a Ram-Line composite on the gun and that is what cracked. I mean you can put a dang dollar bill and run it in and out. GRRRR

Last night I put the Nikon on the BAR .270 that I don't want to hunt with. If I can get my 30.30 to shoot good, I'm going to hunt with it. I have my .300RUM for those clearcuts/fields. I'm just ticked about this.

I guess I'm looking for a stock now. GRRRRR

I needed to vent, thanks for reading this. LOL

Man I have never had that happen. I guess its from all the recoil of the 300 rum?

This is a 30.06. lol

I haven't dropped it or anything so I really don't have any idea what happened to the stock. It is ruined now however.

Call them, RamLine's are garanteed for life. I had one to brake
,I called them and was told to send it back to them. They sent
me a new stock at no charge. I ordered mine from Midsouth Shooters in Clarksville,TN.

I had a RamLine stock to split right through the front action screw and the rifles groups got larger. I called them and they sent me a new stock at no cost. Can't beat that for service. They're not the most expensive stock but they stand behind what they sell.

I was reading feedback on Midway USA and Ram Line is said to have good warranty service.

It's nice that Ram-Line has such great customer and warranty service. However, what's with all of the cracking? The only cracks that I have ever had on a firearm in all of my years, was those hairline cracks which ultimately develop on the pistol grip on a two piece stock after 10,000 rounds or so. I had those develop on an old higgins(Hi-standard) 12 that I had, but it took a lifetime of shooting for them to occur. And I have seen them before on other old two piece shotgun stocks. However, never on one piece synthetic rifle stocks. Maybe not such a good testimonial for the quality of Ram-Line stocks?

Well, the reason I have this stock is because my factory walnut stock (Browning) has a crack in the grip.

I agree there are better out there I'm sure but you can buy a new gun for the price they charge. Luckily I have more rifles for back ups. lol
