No....when i went to the check station on thur there had only one small rabbit deer been checked in.....
I saw nothing fri morn.

The weather was perfect, and the hunting was bad
between the two of us 3 1/2 days of hunting we saw 6 does, 1 basket head, and one shooter that my partner could not get a shot on. It looked like people were shooting any thing they saw, pretty much does a spikes only, and those numbers seemed to be way down from previous years. I talked to a local who was hunting. He was squirrel hunting earlier in the season and said that EHD hit the population real bad there. He said usually when he squirrel hunted the deer were so thick it was hard to squirrel hunt because deer were blowing at you all the time. This year he could smell dead deer at almost every holler he was hunting and lots of dead carcasses around. I sure hope my regular hunting area was not hit to bad with EHD.
