The local Walmarts that still sell guns have their ADL composites with a clean barrel for $325. I previously owned a walnut ADL, and later a composite ADL, and the earlier walnut version was far slicker. The composite's action was kinda "raspy" if you know what I mean. This can be improved upon somewhat by honing, and/or polishing. Also, the stock was hollow and very loud to the touch(thump). I solved that by filling the hollow space with compacted cardboard. IMO still a better built rifle and therefore a better buy than the 710, as are even the bottom of the line Savage/Stevens rifles. I like those for the money. Deal gets better and better. Was in there Monday(Walmart), and they(ADL's) are now $300. I know that Gander is pricy(previous posts) but they have a house full of 710's for $319. IMO, there isn't any comparison between the bottom of the line 700 and the 710. Cheaper and better.
