Just checked my recording rain gauge in Humphreys County.

8.56 inches of rain in two days! Add that to the 2.18 we got last week and that's 10 3/4 inches in two weeks. A drought-buster for sure.

I wish you would have shared some of that with us folks east of nashville. I ended up with 1.6 in the rain gauge on the farm for the past few days. Sure needed more,. but good to get what i got.

I think we got over 5" here and my rape was already up past my knees, but that rain is going to really help out the clover growing underneath it.

That's very good news! Hopefully the same amount also fell a few miles to the east of your place.

It generally tastes better after a frost.

It probably has rained at least another 1.5" since yesterday - it rained pretty much all morning, but it looks as if it is finally begining to break. For sure been a drought buster.

It was quite a change. I went from worrying about lack of rain to worrying about the seed in the plots being washed away.

That'll help out for sure.

October is suppose to one our driest months. May turn out to be one our wettest since Spring

In Warren Co. we had about 2 inches this week. And proud of every drop.

Nothing to do with rain. One of the first and worst crashes I ever worked in my life was at Yellow Creek.

This is the first time I have seen this much rain (6 to 9 inches) at this time of year and still most all of the creeks and rivers did not not rise and flood much when you consider the amount of rain we received. The ground got itself a really good well needed drink.

I agree PRB. 8 1/2" of rain in 48 hours and my roads didn't wash out at all. The ground really soaked it in.
