she has a bersa thunder 380 we whent shooting sunday and i pulled it down to clean and now the triger is not working any ideas of what is going on it is abought 6 or 7 mo old the only way to get the hammer down is to put the safty on me mechinisam is pulling on the side it looks and acts like there might be a pin that might have broken but i don`t really know

Did you put an empty magazine in it? Some guns won't function without a magazine in place. I'm not familiar with the Bersas but it might be worth checking.

Sorry to say this, but when I worked in a gun shop, the gunsmiths would not work on Bersas because those guns don't have a solid reputation. I think they have improved, but I do remember gunsmiths not wanting to deal with them for quality and workmanship reasons.

Sounds like whatever mechanism catches on the trigger as it is pulled has broken, especially if the only way to operater the hammer is with a redundant action, like the safety.

You can try a gunsmith, or what I would do, send it back to Bersa for warranty repairs, if the gun is not that old.
