Shot my encore today for the first time. Was a little disapppointed in the accuracy. I am shooting 120gr. of tripple se7en with a 200gr. 50cal sabot shockwave by TC.
@ 80 yards
Should I change the powder load to 150gr. could my bullet be too light? My knowledge of muzzle loading is VERY limited so any help / suggestions would be appreciated.

Try heavier bullet 250 then 300 gr and reduce you powder load to 90 and work up. My load is 250 shockwave and an est. of 105 gr of T7 3f loose.

Yep drop you powder to 90 or 100 grains and heavier bullets.

Good luck. I never was satisfied with my encore muzzleloader accuracy.

Try a little less powder and heavier bullet. I started out with 150 GR. of 777 in my Encore, and couldnt hit anything. Now I am shooting 100 GR. of 777 with a 245GR powerbelt.
A buddy of mine is using this same recipe and it seems to work in his Encore also.

Funny, a friend had the same experience with the 200gr shockwaves. I don't know if the bullets are long enough with the 1:28 twist to properly stablelize. I'd recommend trying 250 or 300 gr and see what happens. My TC shoots 250's gr great. Others have good results with 300gr.

I'm shooting Barnes 290 gr TMZ with 100 gr FFg 777 loose powder and it shoots great. Also, I had good luck with 300 gr Shockwaves and the same powder load. I'll be shooting the Barnes on my Iowa trip in Dec.

i shoot 100 grains 777 powder and the 250 grain shockwaves .
very accurate in my encore.

Try 110 grains of 777 and a 250 grain Barnes TMZ.
